Ben GoodmanBen Goodman, CRISC is the recipient of ISACA’s CRISC, Worldwide Achievement Award. He is the founder of 4A Security and Compliance, a firm that helps clients strengthen their information security while managing cyber risk and meeting their compliance requirements. With over 25 years of experience in information technology, technology strategy and risk management, he is dedicated to strengthening the cyber defenses and resiliency of US organizations, institutions and critical infrastructure.

Mr. Goodman has helped clients ranging from American Express and GE Capital to public hospitals and private medical practices. He has consulted CIOs at organizations ranging from Cablevision to tech start-ups. His work is focused at the intersection of IT and risk management. Having founded a Silicon Alley tech firm that raised private equity and formed an international tri-venture with two Fortune 500 Japanese corporations, he has also served as Operations Director of a Managing General Underwriter and CEO of a commercial insurance agency.

Mr. Goodman is a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society’s Cyber Risk Task Force. He is also a founding member of Drexel University’s College of Computing and Informatics, Cyber Security Institute Advisory Board.

Mr. Goodman is a frequent speaker on the topics of cyber risk management, cyber security and privacy, and is often interviewed for industry publications on issues regarding cyber security, compliance and risk transfer. He has published many articles and spoken at numerous conferences over the course of his career. He received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Columbia College, Columbia University in New York and studied Educational Technology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Mr. Goodman lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and two sons. He also has two grown daughters.
