4A-Board Mike Lynch-400x400For over 13 years Michael Lynch has been Director of IT at O’Donnell & Naccarato (O&N). Located at corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, Mr. Lynch oversees all aspects of information technology for the firm’s three offices, including two regional locations in Lehigh Valley, PA and Mountainside, New Jersey. O&N is the oldest and largest consulting structural engineering firm in Philadelphia, with numerous structures famous in the region to its credit. The firm’s marquee projects and clients include the Philadelphia International Airport, the Wanamaker Building, One Logan Square, the Bourse Building, 30th Street Station (regional rail), Whole Foods, Neiman Marcus, the Courtyard by Marriot, Temple University, Drew University, Hahnemann University Hospital, Cooper University, Widener University, and many others.

During his 13 year tenure at O&N, Mr. Lynch has driven numerous strategic IT initiatives that have helped sustain the firm’s dominant competitive position in the region, including the company-wide implementation of such IT projects as virtualization, data management, security, business continuity and disaster recovery, risk and compliance, decision support, analytics, IT budgeting and spending, and vendor and service management. Mr. Lynch’s contributions to the firm’s unique IT environment also include the implementation of such systems and infrastructure as project management, procurement, estimating, and emerging technologies. In the latter area, Mr. Lynch’s contributions have supported O&N’s position as one of the leading implementers of Building Information Modeling (BIM), working closely with Autodesk’s BIM software team as an alpha testing site for Revit 2015.

Prior to devoting himself to a career in information technology, Mr. Lynch served as chef and pastry chef at numerous restaurants and establishments around the country. The last five years of his culinary career were spent at the Wood Food Service Company, where he was Corporate Executive Pastry Chef. The firm was later bought by Sodexho Marriott Services (now Sodexho Alliance).

Mr. Lynch earned his Bachelor’s degree at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. His post graduate studies included certifications in Network and Systems Administration as well as in French Pastry from the Healy-Lucullus School of French Cuisine.

A firm believer in community service, Mr. Lynch has taught IT at the local community college and has served 9 years on the local School Board, twice as President. Mr. Lynch is proud to have led the district’s negotiating team through three successful contract negotiations with professional and support staff. The Palisades School District has earned multiple National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence awards from the U.S. Department of Education.
